Landlords and property managers play an important role in creating a positive off-campus experience for Western students. Off-Campus Housing Services supports the off-campus community by providing resources, information and services designed to help strengthen relationships between landlords, students and neighbours.
The Mediation Service provides support in navigating concerns or conflicts that may arise between students and members of the London community. Off-Campus Housing Services also shares information and resources to help landlords stay informed about the student housing landscape.
Rental Listing Website: Feature Highlights
Off-Campus Housing Services continues to improve the rental listing platform to provide landlords with tools that increase visibility and connect them with students searching for off-campus housing.
Top Ads ($15/day or $175/month)
Landlords can increase listing visibility by upgrading to a Top Ad. Properties appear in the Top Ads section as well as the general listings page, helping them stand out to students searching for housing.
Top Ads rotate throughout the page, with four featured listings displayed each time the page is loaded. Students can also browse additional featured listings through the Top Ads section.
Availability is limited, with a maximum of 48 Top Ad placements available at one time.
Listing Boost ($10 per listing)
Listing Boost moves active listings to the top of search results to increase visibility. Listings remain featured until a new listing is added or another property is boosted.
Annual Access Fee ($20 per year)
The access fee provides landlords with access to the online listing system. Once activated, landlords can create listings and upload property photos.
Available listing options:
- 60-day listing with photos: $15
- 6-month listing with photos: $30
- 1-year listing with photos: $50
Listings allow a maximum of six photos.
Off-Campus Housing regularly promotes the rental listing platform to help students find available housing options. Outreach includes virtual information sessions, presentations for students in residence, social media promotion and other digital communications.
